Hi, I'm
Sarah Chen
I'm Sarah, and I work on narrative experiences, UX research, and technology policy.
I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska (that's me in a place only reachable by plane and snowmobile/four-wheeler)! I swapped the cold for California during my undergraduate in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and International Relations at Claremont McKenna College. After winning the Rhodes Scholarship, I traveled across the pond for a MSc in Social Science of the Internet at the University of Oxford.
Over the last year, I've presented "Et tu, Brute?", a game design on robotic and human friendship, at Cybioses – life in the future imperfect in Copenhagen, published a paper on the toxic cost of cheap usernames in videogames in ACM Games, and written two new sci-fi stories (undergoing intense editing).
Cool Classes I've taken recently:
Greg Buchanan's Interactive Games Writing Course and Cat Rambo's Advanced Short Story Worksop
